Who Makes our Fabric Gift Wraps?

Global Wrapshare™ intends to support those in need around the planet in generating sustainable livelihood, as well as celebrate cultural beauty expressed through textiles. For our pilot projects we worked with and invested in collaborations in a number of Asian countries (India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, etc.). Global Wrapshare™ provides resources to support fabric wrap makers getting started. It’s kind of like micro-lending but with a built in business opportunity. Developing reliable supply chains in some of these remote areas has not been easy but we’re committed to this vision.

We continue to make our pilot product streams more reliable, as well as create new ones (see submission form below). In order to launch, we worked with Rateria, a home goods manufacturer in Delhi.

Our vision is to create a win-win-win-win (and on) scenario for fabric gift wrap makers all around the planet, ideally creating an expansive community of people enjoying sustainable livelihood, heartfelt blessings, and culturally diverse, beautiful, fabric gift wraps to share with the world. Together we can wrap the planet in a blessing. Your support, by purchasing and gifting Global Wrapshare fabric wraps, makes a difference.

We’re grateful for all the amazing people we’ve connected with along the way and we look forward to continuing to connect with many more.

Dolma Ling Nunnery

It is so wonderful to connect with the nuns at the Dolma Ling Nunnery and Institute. We got to know just a small group of over 200 nuns at this amazing location in India. The nuns (including many Tibetan refugees) helped build the nunnery. Their focus is higher Buddhist education, but they have a number of entrepreneurial ventures to create self-sufficiency and support their studies and spiritual practices. They make and bless beaded malas and sell other gifts online in the Tibetan Nuns Project gift shop.

We’re grateful to have the nuns making and blessing fabric gift wraps and pleased that blessings will be sent back to the nuns and to Tibetan community.

Special thanks and recognition to Ms. Rinchen Khando Choegya for her leadership and support. And for all she does to support and encourage the nuns and uplift the Tibetan people, especially women. While she has been instrumental in the nuns creating a sustainable livelihood and thriving in India, she does not want us to forget that the Tibetans want to go home and continue to advocate for an end to China’s occupation of Tibet.

Global Wrapshare Meet the Wrap Makers
Ms. Rinchen Khando Choegya expressed her deep, heartfelt desire to make sure we all know that she (along with many other Tibetans) want to return to their country and thrive in a free Tibet. We’re sending heartfelt prayers and loving blessings to all involved.
